Hand-made and hand-painted, our 18th Century Gustavian inspired writing desk features fall front revealing compartments, over three drawers. 

The writing desk originated in the 17th Century, they were developed as an evolution of Bible boxes, used to store and read Bibles. Due to the box’s flatness and already tall form, the obvious successor was created. With time, this now famous piece saw many different iterations of itself, with over twenty styles imagined and actioned around the World. In Sweden, like other furniture, the writing desk design was inspired by European styles and international trends.

Made with sustainably sourced teak wood.
