Small commode with fluted carving
Hand-crafted & hand-painted, this 18th Century Gustavian inspired small commode is beautifully ornamented with carved animal medallions at its corners. The piece features three small graduated drawers flanked with fluting and supported on complementary fluted, tapered feet.
In the 18th Century, the French word commode, meaning 'convenient', referred to a chest of drawers, often ornately carved, and specifically designed to store personal items.
Made from sustainably sourced teak wood.
