Wardrobe divided
Gustavian 18th Century inspired, our hand-made and hand-painted wardrobe features double doors revealing hanging space, shelves and compartments.
Originally used to store almost anything but clothes, the wardrobe was a symbol of status and would have highly ornate designs with decorative artwork and detailed carvings on the outside. Over time, the wardrobe design became lighter and the piece bigger, moving from a status symbol to a more widespread item. In Sweden, like other furniture, the wardrobe design was inspired by European styles and international trends.
